Through our Confirmation ministry at St Paul we have spent 5 weeks learning and discovering what the catechism teaches about the Lord’s Supper and what it means for our lives.  During the First Communion retreat we studied the biblical history of the Passover, how Jesus celebrated the Lord’s Supper with his disciples, and lastly how St Paul instructed early Christians about their participation in this special meal.

Now we prepare for the final step in this journey; participation in the Seder meal and the receiving of First Communion.  In this packet you will find a First Communion Guide.  Please take time between now and the Seder meal to review this guide and the other information provided in this kit.  The guide gives brief Bible passages to look up with your child and gives greater explanation to the meal that we will be participating in as a group.

We hope you find this kit helpful in the process of nurturing the faith of your child at home.
