Guatemala Mission
St. Paul Missions teams are going International!
Our team returned to Casa Aleluya in San Bartolomé Milpas Altas, Guatemala in August 2024, assisting a children’s home caring for approximately 300 children.
We also partnered with Senderos de Luz to support the local community by building a family home, installing water filtration, providing food to widows, and distributing Spanish Bibles.
LERT — Lutheran Early Response Team
The Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT) ministry has grown out of the desire for LCMS volunteers from across the United States to have the training and ability to respond quickly to disasters in a coordinated and comprehensive manner.
Lutheran Early Response Teams are not ‘first responders’ and work in cooperation with local, state, and federal emergency management agencies as well as other non-governmental and faith-based organizations.
Lutheran Early Response Teams work in conjunction with, and under the direction of, the District Disaster Response Coordinator (DDRC) based upon the district’s established disaster response protocol.

LERT members are trained in basic disaster response procedures and are registered as LERT members by the District Disaster Response Team (DDRT). They agree not to function independently from the district’s guidance and direction.
LCMS World Relief and Human Care facilitate regional training for DDRCs and DDRTs and provide training materials for LERT members. Congregational LERT programs are self-supporting and self-sustaining.
For more information about St. Paul’s LERT ministry, please contact Pete Strains through the church office.

Love Inc
Love INC mobilizes local churches to offer a holistic approach to caring for people — spiritually, mentally, emotionally, relationally, materially, and physically.
Operating in three areas (Connection Center, Gap Ministries, and Transformational Ministry), Love INC builds hope and fosters change.
Lutheran Women in Mission
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League empowers women to affirm their relationship with the Triune God while using their gifts in ministry. St. Paul’s offers two groups — one meeting during the day and one in the evenings.
Pillowcase Dresses Mission
"We’re not just sending dresses, we’re sending hope." – Little Dresses for Africa.
