Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals to children suffering from hunger around the world. Founded in 1987, the organization partners with various global agencies and volunteers to pack and distribute scientifically formulated meals, which are designed to reverse and prevent malnutrition.

FMSC operates primarily through its volunteer-based model, where people come together to pack meals at designated events. These meals consist of essential ingredients like vitamins, vegetables, soy, and rice, ensuring they meet the dietary needs of malnourished children. The organization ships these meal packs to over 70 countries, helping communities in crisis situations such as natural disasters, wars, and poverty.

The impact of FMSC’s efforts extends beyond food provision—it helps create stability and hope by supporting educational, economic, and community development in areas suffering from chronic hunger. With a commitment to transparency, over 90% of FMSC's donations go directly to feeding programs, ensuring that every contribution has a meaningful impact.

Key Highlights:

  • Established in 1987 to combat child hunger globally.
  • Utilizes a volunteer-driven model to pack scientifically formulated meals.
  • Partners with local organizations to distribute meals to areas in need.
  • Operates in more than 70 countries, providing aid during crises.
  • Prioritizes transparency, with the majority of funds going directly to feeding programs.

The mission of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League is to assist each woman of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world. St. Paul’s is blessed to have two LWM groups. Ladies of the congregation are welcome to join either group. Each group has its own projects and goals, one group meets during the day and the other meets in the evenings.

“We’re not just sending dresses, we’re sending hope.” – Little Dresses for Africa

We are continuing to sew pillowcase dresses and shorts to go to Guatemala with our Mission Team and also for Little Dresses for Africa. All sewing of the dresses and shorts is done at home. Sew at home at your convenience. We continue this sewing mission for the following reasons:

Our Mission Team has solid plans to return to Guatemala in the future and would gladly take dresses and shorts along to be distributed to the many needy children.
The lack of sturdy clothes for children in need is so great all over the world in the many third-world countries. We’ll continue to seek out ways to get our handcrafted dresses and shorts to children who desperately need them.
We have a bin in the Giving Center where you can find some available pillowcases to make dresses or shorts from the material. There are some directions and hints on how to help you create future pillowcase dresses and shorts. There is also a sample dress and shorts to help guide you! If you’d like to donate pillowcases, please remember we only use cotton and cotton blends and new or gently used cases. No microfiber or synthetics please!

We really need members who are willing to sew boys’ shorts! The Mission Team told us that people in Guatemala requested that they bring more shorts the next time they come. These shorts are super-simple to make with no zipper or fly and just an elastic waist. It’s possible to get two small pairs of shorts from one pillowcase. Instructions for the shorts will be in the bin also!

Many, many thanks to those who have sewn as well as those who have donated pillowcases, fabrics, and other supplies to keep our mission going! For more information, please contact the Church Office and ask for Judy Konik phone number or email to get more details on how you can help.

St Paul Missions teams are going International!

The St. Paul Missions team successfully returned to Casa Aleluya in San Bartolomé Milpas Altas, Guatemala, in August 2024. Casa Aleluya is a children’s home that cares for approximately 300 children of all ages, who have been placed there by the local court system due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment. These children are being raised in a loving, Christ-centered environment During our trip, we were able to assist with maintenance work around Casa Aleluya, and we spent meaningful time playing and engaging in activities with the children, who loved spending time with the "Gringos."

In addition to our work at Casa Aleluya, we partnered with another mission group, Senderos de Luz, to support the local community. We built a home for a family, delivered water filtration systems, provided food to widows, and distributed Spanish Bibles. The trip was a powerful and enriching experience, and we are grateful for the prayers and support from our community, as well as for the success of our fundraising efforts.

What is the Love INC Movement?
The body of Christ is God’s answer to community brokenness and a part of His plan of redemption and restoration. That’s why we mobilize local churches to offer a holistic approach to caring for people in all areas of life: spiritual, mental, emotional, relational, material, and physical.

Love INC of Sheboygan County operates in three areas as we build hope through relationships rooted in Christ:

  1. Connection Center: call center where we process requests and strive to learn about each person who contacts us in order to connect them to the best resources within our partner churches and the community agencies
  2. Gap Ministries: products and services that address immediate physical needs through our partner churches and volunteers
  3. Transformational Ministry: life-skills classes and mentoring to help people holistically achieve longer-term goals by providing people with knowledge/skills training, goal setting, emotional support, and spiritual encouragement along with the church and community resources
