Lenten Reflection to Easter Joy | Pastor Kyle Backhaus

As we journey from the quiet reflection of Lent into the radiant celebration of Easter, our hearts are invited to move from contemplation to celebration, from the shadow of the cross to the light of the empty tomb. 

Lent has always been a sacred season. Forty days of prayer, repentance, renewal, and preparation. We walk with Jesus toward Jerusalem. We hear the prophecies about the coming Messiah and His journey to the cross. We reflect on His sacrifice, examine our hearts, and remember the depth of Jesus' love. Lent reminds us that God meets us in surrender, in humility, and even in our suffering...

Kyle Backhaus

Pastor Kyle began as an Associate Pastor at St. Paul in 2018. He became Senior Pastor in 2019. Prior to arrival at St. Paul, Pastor Kyle served a dual parish in South Central Texas (Abiding Word-Gonzales Tx, Vineyard of Christ-Rosanky Tx). He received his masters of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary in 2014. Pastor Kyle is married to Tessa. They have been blessed with two children, Jolene (2012), Emaline (2015).

Favorite Bible verse: 1 Peter 5:5-7, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.
