Trunk Decorating Guidelines
1. You may pick any theme you would like for your trunk- the more creative the better. No need to spend a ton of money on decorations, use things you have around your house. (packer stuff, Christmas decorations, winter theme, fall theme, star wars, etc) Need ideas- Google trunk or treat.
2. Many of the participants will be neighborhood preschool/elementary aged children; please avoid frightening, occult (witches/devils), or gory decorations. Keep it child friendly!
3. When you arrive for trunk or treat, your car will be assigned a spot in the lot.
4. If you find that you are unable to participate after you have registered, please contact Savannah so we can fill your spot.
5. Set up begins at 2:00pm. Vehicles must arrive at the parking lot by 2:45; the Trunk or Treat lot will be closed to moving vehicles from 2:45 until 5:15 p.m. Please plan to stay until the event ends; for safety reasons, we cannot have vehicles moving through the lot while children are present.
6. Handing out treats is part of the fun; you are welcome to provide candy, healthy snacks, or small non-food treats (pencils/stickers). We are hoping to have 250 kids walk through our lot. So please plan accordingly. Volunteers are encouraged to wear family friendly costumes that are appropriate for the weather.
7. Volunteers are encouraged to engage in conversation with families that participate in our event. Recognition will be given to those that are voted to having the best trunk by participants. So good luck!
